Thanks for checking this out! Here is an early game scored World Series scorecard from the fourth game of the 1934 series between. The Detroit Tigers and the St. It is the celebrated game when Dizzy Vance had to be taken to the hospital for a head.

X-ray and was told "nothing there". Dazzy (his brother) had come on in relief in the third, but they sent in Spud Davis to pinch hit for him in the fourth. Spud batted 1.000 in his only World Series, two for two.

Dizzy came off the bench to pinch run for Spud, and was hit in the head going to second base. The Cards lost this game, but won game seven in another very interesting game. I think there might be some youtube video or audio of this game.
