50 years ago! METS WIN World Series! Program & final game ticket! Own History
It doesn't seem like it was fifty years ago when the Amazin' Mets beat one of the finest Oriole teams in five games to become the Miracle Mets. I was lucky enough to be in Shea Stadium at the final game 5 with my dad who was a die-hard Mets fan and we used both the program (unscored) and ticket listed here for sale. This is a great opportunity to own a piece of Mets history. 1969 was a year for "firsts:". The first expansion team to win a division title, pennant and the World Series. The first winning record in Mets history. Tom Seaver won his first Cy Young Award. Cleon Jones hit what was then a club record. 1969 was also an unusual year for other New York/Batimore sports teams when Joe Namath and the Jets upset the heavily favored Baltimore Colts in the Super Bowl and the Knicks eliminated the Baltimore Bullets from the'69 NBA Playoffs.
